Queijadas de Leite QUEIJADAS DE LEITE Portuguese Milk Tarts From Dorothy Oliveira, Lusitano Club of California Bulletin 34.4 An easy, delicious tart 2 cups sugar ½ cup butter melted 4 eggs at room temperature 1 cup flour 2 cups milk 1 tbl cinnamon optional 2 tbls sugar optional Cream butter and sugar together Add eggs and mix well Add flour and mix Add milk slowly and mix well Grease muffin pans well Pour in batter Bake at 204⁰C|400⁰F for 20-30 minutes or when the sides of the tarts turn brown and crusty Remove the tarts from muffin pan when hot by running a knife around the sides and lift out. Place into cupcake liners Optional: Mix cinnamon & sugar and sprinkle on top of each tart Serve at room temperature and enjoy!
