Chicken with Chestnuts

1 large chicken cut into small pieces
1 tin chestnuts
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ cup soya sauce
1 tsp cinnamon
3 cloves of garlic chopped or 1 heaped tbsp of crushed garlic
½ bunch chopped spring onions

Mix everything except the chestnuts together and leave to marinate for at least ½ an hour.

Put a little oil in the pot and fry for about 5 mins.

Then add 1 cup of water to make the gravy.

Reduce the heat and simmer until almost cooked, then add the chestnuts and cook until the chicken is soft.
