1 chicken, cut in pieces
ginger
onions
garlic
turmeric
cumin
tamarind
sugar
a few strips of pork fat

* No quantities were given in the original recipe.

Soak the tamarind in a little hot water and squeeze. Keep the liquid and discard the tamarind pulp.

Cut the ginger, onions and garlic in very thin slices and fry in 1 dsp of very hot lard. Add the turmeric, cumin and the strips of pork fat and fry for a few minutes and then add the chicken, tamarind water and simmer. Add a little sugar.
