BIFE COM VINHO DE MADEIRA OU

SHERRY

Beef with Madeira or Sherry

8 thin pieces of steak
butter for frying
1 tsp cornflour
⅓ cup of Madeira wine or semi-dry sherry

Season the steaks with salt, pepper and a little olive oil.
Place some butter or margarine in the fry pan and cook the steaks.
Place the steaks on a plate and keep warm.
Mix 1 tsp of cornflour into the pan juices and let it thicken a little, then add the wine, stirring to blend well.
Place the steaks back into the sauce and cook for a short time.
